The Mongoose X is a lightweight, precision-machined concrete engraving saw designed for accurate layout cutting, controlled starts and stops, and smooth movement across concrete.

Use the compact cutting unit close to the floor for maximum control, or customize your Mongoose X with optional accessories for stand-up operation, additional groove widths, circles and arcs.

Customize Your Mongoose X

Stand-Up Handle

Add the removable stand-up handle to operate the Mongoose X while standing upright. The handle includes an extension on/off switch and attaches with two set screws.

Remove the handle whenever you need low-profile operation, closer access or more direct control of the cutting unit.

Additional Blade Widths

Choose additional 3.1" premium diamond blades to create different decorative groove widths:

• .090" blade: Narrow decorative lines
• .125" blade: Standard grout-line effects
• .250" blade: Wider decorative grooves
• .375" blade: Bold accent lines

One .125" blade is included with the base Mongoose X Saw. Additional blades are available as optional add-ons.

Circle and Arc Layout Accessories

Expand the Mongoose X with the optional center-pivot system, connecting tubes and trammel-point layout accessories.

Control Every Start and Stop

The spring-loaded cutting head gives the operator precise control over where each groove begins and ends. Press down to engage the blade, then release pressure and the cutting head lifts the blade out of the groove.

Precise, Adjustable Cutting Depth

A fine-thread depth-control screw allows the engraving depth to be adjusted for the project. The Mongoose X provides a maximum cutting depth of approximately 1/4".

Follow Your Layout

Front and rear flip-up pointers help align the Mongoose X with chalk lines and other layout markings. The open blade port provides additional visibility near the blade while cutting.

The pointers can be flipped out of the way when working close to a wall or making reverse cuts.

Dust Collection at the Source

The side-mounted vacuum port connects to an appropriate dust-collection system and helps capture concrete dust near the blade. Its position keeps the vacuum hose away from the primary cutting path.

Always follow applicable silica-dust safety requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Fitted Protective Hard Case Included

Every Mongoose X Saw includes a rugged, hard-sided carrying case designed to protect the cutting unit and keep its primary components organized.

The fitted foam insert holds the Mongoose X, motor, hose and related components securely in place. Egg-crate foam inside the lid provides additional cushioning during transportation.
