Matte Additive for Solvent Based Outside Acrylic
**This product should only be used in a solvent based outside acrylic sealer – base coat of sealer must
be applied prior to application of sealer with matte additive.
Uses– Provides satin or matte finish to Concrete Resurrection CR-560 solvent based sealer.
Coverage– One pint in 5 gallons of Concrete Resurrection Outside Acrylic Sealer (CR-560) = Satin
Finish; Two Pints in Concrete Resurrection Outside Acrylic Sealer (CR-560) = Matte Finish
Safety– Always use appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to, goggles, face shield,
rubber gloves, chemical resistant clothing or apron, and chemical respirator.
Matte Additive is
flammable. Consult the product MSDS for additional safety information. Follow safety guidelines for
Concrete Resurrection CR-560 Outside acrylic.
Surface Preparation- Concrete surface must be clean and free for all contaminants and water. Do
not apply if rain is forecast within 24 hours. If moisture is present or it the surface is not clean and
free of all contaminants, the sealer may have white spots and have premature delamination and
failure.
Temperature – Substrate and air temperature must be no less than 40 degrees F and not exceed 80
degrees F.
Mixing – Add desired amount of Matte Additive to solvent based acrylic sealer and stir with a drill
mixer for approximately 2-3 minutes or until homogenous, prior to application. Stir lightly periodically
during application to ensure an even gloss level. Failure to do so may result in streaked finish with
varying gloss levels. Remix any material left over with a drill mixer before applying. Matte Additive is
a flammable liquid. An approved respirator, safety goggles and gloves are required.
Storage and Shelf Life– Shelf life of unopened product is approximately one year.
Clean Up – Use xylene. Dispose of containers in accordance with local, state and federal
regulations.
Precautions and Limitations
This product will not freeze during storage, however, allow temperature to rise to 50 degrees F
prior to application.
All HVAC ventilation ducts should be blocked prior to application to prevent solvent fumes from
being distributed.
Keep away from open flames. Product is flammable and is very susceptible to ignition.
This product performs best when applied as one or two medium-light coats, not one heavy
coat.
This product when cured may be slippery when wet. An anti-slip additive can be used to
reduce slip hazards.
Do not thin product.
This product can be applied to most sealer applications but may be incompatible to some.
Test prior to use.
Warranty– This warranty is made in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied. Before
application the User shall determine the suitability of the product for his/her intended use and User
assumes all risks and liabilities whatsoever in connection therewith. Neither seller nor manufacturer
has any knowledge or control concerning the purchaser’s use of this product and no warranty is made
as to the results of any use. The Manufacturer and/or Seller warrants that if any goods supplied
prove defective in material the sole obligation shall be to replace said product. Any claim of defective
product must be received in writing within one (1) year from date of shipment. Neither Manufacturer
nor Seller shall assume any liability for injury, loss, or damage resulting from use of this product.
