The Best Way To Rank High On Google Search Results

Chain Links

When you set up a web site, or a web page for your business, you want to get found when potential customers in your area search for the service that your business provides.

Website owners often think that the best way to get noticed by Google for the purpose of being found when someone searches for a term is to “submit” their site to the Google search engine. Whole businesses say they will submit your site to the search engines for you.

This is not necessary, and in fact, some experts jokingly claim that submitting your site to Google will actually slow down it getting indexed.

The best way to get indexed by Google is to have a link to your web page from a site that is already indexed by Google.

Google puts a lot of weight on links, especially when the links anchor text is made up of keywords. (Anchor text is the the words that actually make up the link itself, unfortunately, most people use “click here” way too much.)

As an example, when you search for “coffee” the first result is Starbucks, and when you go to there site you will see that the word “coffee” is only used once on the page and once in the title.

This is because of the numerous “coffee” links to starbucks.com.
