Where is “Margaritaville” for you? I like the “Margaritaville” spot in Maurice, Louisiana because of the special touch Outdoor Hidden Treasures gave to a beautiful beach atmosphere around the outdoor kitchen, poolside and fire pit.
Chuck and Nicole Landry, owners of Outdoor Hidden Treasurers, applied their decorative concrete artistry when first asked about staining the flat concrete, both inside and out.
The customer told the Landry’s about his outdoor kitchen being installed near one of their projects. He was naming the kitchen “Margaritaville” and decorating with a tropical island theme.
“Margaritaville” would have a large mural on one wall while the remaining walls were painted lime green.
The Landry’s suggested staining the concrete to look like water with the kitchen on the ‘sand’ of the beach.
Further inspired, they told the customer they could engrave a Margarita glass on the water colored concrete. They ‘filled’ the glass with “drink mix” and engraved a slice of lime for added attraction. “There is even salt on the rim,” Chuck wrote.
The project led the customer to add an outdoor fire pit along with the outdoor concrete that was the first purpose of calling Outdoor Hidden Treasures.
You can see more pictures of the “Margaritaville” project at the Outdoor Hidden Treasures website.
