“OMG! How did you do that” | Decorative Concrete Engraving

That question pops up often when people see stunning designs engraved on concrete. The answer is “I used a template that Engrave-A-Crete cut for me.”

Using  state of the art equipment at the Mansfield, Missouri headquarters, including a water jet and router, Engrave-A-Crete can cut a specialty template in any design for you.

You can also choose from stock patterns for designs such as the popular Whitetail buck with huge antlers, vines, bars or Fleur de lis for added trim, plus letters and numbers.

The templates are specialty cut from large sheets of dense plastic panels. The material is durable and water-proof. You can use them over many times and wash them off before storage to control dust. Learn more about the templates on our website.

We can also cut stencils for stain and sandblasting applications, in just about any design you can imagine.

Cobra DNA | Engravers’ Dream Concrete Cutting Tool

“Cobra”

A name so invoking of aggressive images, that marketing departments in many areas of industry adopt this reptile as mascot to products designed to impress.

Why the Cobra? Is it something in the DNA of the animal?

Wasps On Sale For a Limited Time

That drone you hear coming from the Engrave-A-Crete training room on any given day during the week of the Discovery and Training seminar is in fact a swarm of Wasps.

The Wasp, a small but important component of the Kaleidocrete System, is a favorite of students. It is used for fine details, touch-ups and even for free-hand decorative concrete work

The Wasp, powered by compressed air, uses a solitary, reciprocating, carbide stylus cutter to remove small amounts of concrete a little bit at a time.

Because of the single stylus and overall streamlined shape of the Wasp, it is easy to hold and work with.  If you can use a pencil, you can use the Wasp.

For a limited time, Engrave-A-Crete is offering the Wasp at a sweet sale price. If you already have one, why not accumulate a “nest”?

Who knew she’d be the other woman?

Heads turn when she enters. Conversation stops. Is it because of her full red lips? The skimpy bit of a dress perhaps? Her curves are definitely noticeable. Or maybe it’s the shotgun.

Who is she?

Meet Blastin’ Betty, star of Engrave-A-Crete’s newest Blast Force™ system. Whether used for floor prep or engraving, her powerful motor fires steel blasting media to cut the surface of concrete. Cleanly. Perfectly. Every time.

In the meantime…

The music begins, David Rose and his orchestra playing “The Stripper.” Men stare, transfixed.

Blastin’ Betty hardly notices as she begins her practiced moves. She whirls back and forth, methodically grinding to the high-pitched rhythm of her own voice as she takes it off. Sealers, stains, dyes—nothing stops Betty.

She glides to another area, and a collective release of breath from onlookers causes a wisp of hair around Betty’s face to move slightly and her skirt to flutter provocatively as she pauses. Under her spell, they watch, silently willing her to continue. They want to see more, much more.

Old carpet glue teases Betty and she adjusts her rollers and moves in. She’s a tenacious woman with important things to do. Squeezing her hand controls she bombards the surface with blast shot media. She continues–forcing, releasing, twirling until every particle of glue is banished. Her spectators groan in disappointment as none of Betty’s personal items are sent flying. No souvenirs. Her vacuum hook-up takes care of that. And behind her flashy exterior, she’s a lady.

Job finished, Betty faces her audience, expecting their praise.

“Bravo!” someone shouts.

“Outstanding!” another cheers.

Betty, a confident, skilled woman who knows her place in life, has taken it all off. Recognizing her cue to leave, she spins toward the door, her voice winding down to a throaty chuckle.

One man glances up for a last longing look at Betty. He catches her wink and her quick nod toward the back room. Without a second thought, he follows.

What is it about a capable woman in a red dress waving a shotgun?

Check out Engrave-A-Crete’s Blastin’ Betty. You’ll find out.
